Gillian is a retired professional concert dancer, now board certified in Emergency Medicine, Medical Toxicology, and Addiction Medicine. She is co-chair of the LVHN Opioid Stewardship & Linkage to Treatment Committee. Her research and education passion is focused on changing prescribing patterns, reducing stigma around Substance Use Disorders, and linking people with SUDs to treatment. She is the proud dog mom of four rescue dogs.
Courtney is an OB/GYN with LVPG OB/GYN and is a foundation partner of the Connections program at LVHN. She currently serves as the medical director for the program providing compassionate care for pregnant and postpartum women with SUD.
John Shinholser is president and co-founder of The McShin Foundation and co-founder of CARE Talks, LLC. The McShin Foundation, founded in 2004, is named for its two recovering co-founders, John Shinholser and Carol McDaid. Shinholser and McDaid have dedicated their lives to helping individuals and families in or seeking recovery from the disease of addiction. John is a United States Marine Corps veteran. He has over 35 years in long-term recovery.
Abby Letcher, MD, is a family physician whose practice is dedicated to the idea that healing happens in relationships. She moved to the Lehigh Valley in 2003 and helped build the Valley’s first and only federally qualified health center, the Neighborhood Health Centers of the Lehigh Valley. She has had the privilege of working with innovators from the Lehigh Valley Health Network Department of Family Medicine.
Jason is a Certified Recovery Specialist at Pyramid Healthcare's Allentown Outpatient Treatment Center. He began his career at Pyramid in 11/2017 after the loss of his brother as the result of an overdose. He serves as a CRS to a variety of clients within the STAR (Endocarditis Program) at St. Luke's Hospital and for referrals from various recovery houses in the community. He offers unconditional support and serves as an accountability partner for his clients.
Jonathan is a bi-lingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Advanced Alcohol & Drug Counselor, and Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist who has been working with individuals diagnosed with SUDs for over a decade. He is currently a Behavior Change Specialist for LVHN.
Julia is the Director of the Lehigh County Regional Intellegence and Investigation Center (RIIC). She is a certified Fusion Center Analyst, trained through the Department of Homeland Security with a focus on strategic intelligence analysis, and terrorism prevention. Having over 20 years of IT experience in the criminal justice field, Julia helps with collaborative solutions to help improve complex social issues that negatively affect the quality of life in Lehigh Valley.
Chris is the Associate Director of Treatment Trends, INc., an Allentown based drug and alcohol treatment provider offering services along the entire treatment/recovery continuum. He is also the Co-Founder of Rally In The Valley. Q is a Certified Recovery Specialist focusing on community outreach efforts. He has 5 years of experience working in the drug & alcohol treatment field.
Christine is the Program Director of the Halfway Home of the Lehigh Valley and is currently obtaining her Ph.D in Human Services. She has been in the drug & alcohol field for over 15 years and has facilitated multiple therapeutic modalities and preventative methods in various modes of treatment. She is on the Northampton Drug Court Treatment Team and participants in the DDAP's ASAM Transition Task Force Committee. She is also at Trauma-Informed Responses Trainer certified through SAMHSA's GAIN
